Hello and welcome to Grandmas Quilt Shop!

We’re Bret and Karen Pucci — a husband-and-wife team, married for over 33 years, and the proud owners of this little corner of creativity in the heart of Yuma, Arizona. Our journey here has been one stitched together with love, hard work, and a shared dream.

Family has always been at the heart of our story. We are blessed with two children and two grandchildren who inspire us daily. Our son proudly serves as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, while our daughter continues Karen’s legacy of service by working in the homeless community. Their dedication, along with the joy our grandchildren bring, fuels our passion for building a shop rooted in love, resilience, and care for others.

Karen first fell in love with quilting while sitting beside her mom, learning the rhythm of the sewing machine and the joy of creating something both beautiful and lasting. That love only grew over the years as she made everything from cozy gifts for family to heirloom-quality quilts. Beyond the shop, Karen has spent more than 25 years in social services, serving as a director overseeing programs for individuals experiencing homelessness and leading more than 200 staff with compassion and vision. Her heart for people and community is at the center of everything she does — including this shop.

Bret, with his background in engineering and operations, brings the technical know-how, creative problem-solving, and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude that keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. Together, we balance each other — Karen with her passion for fabric and storytelling, and Bret with his steady expertise and big-picture thinking.

As partners in life and in this shop, we’ve poured our love and energy into creating a place where inspiration flows, friendships grow, and everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re just starting your quilting journey or you’ve been sewing for decades, we want Grandmas Quilt Shop to feel like home — a space where every stitch tells a story.
